  • 1 x Remote Control
  • 8 x AA Premium Alkaline Non-Rechargeable Batteries (not included)
  • 1 x Phillips Screwdriver (not included)

Install the batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of your controller using a Phillips head screwdriver. Place the 8 AA batteries in the battery compartment, making sure you are putting these in the right way.

Where can I fly my Helix X4 Stunt?

Your Helix X4 Stunt is designed to be flown indoors. Due to the high performance of the Helix, the room you are in should have lots of space to fly with no breakable objects. Turn off any ceiling fans and stay away from any other air vents to ensure a successful flight.

We don’t recommend flying the Helix outdoors as it is a very finely tuned Stunt Quad Copter and the performance could potentially be affected by environmental conditions.

Follow these tips and you will be an expert pilot in no time!

Helix X4 Stunt - Novice vs Expert Modes: The Differences

Your Helix X4 Stunt has 2 operational modes; Novice and Expert. You are able to switch between modes using the Power Switch at the top of the remote control.

      Novice Mode (1 Arrow)
When your Helix X4 Stunt is in Novice Mode, the lights on the unit will be green. Just because you’re flying in Novice Mode, doesn’t mean you’re a beginner! Flying in Novice Mode is a great way to get to know your Helix and will give you a more complete and thorough understanding of the controls.

While stunts can be performed in Novice, we recommend perfecting the art of flight in this mode before switching to Expert Mode to perform stunts.

      Expert Mode (2 Arrows)
When your Helix X4 Stunt is in Expert Mode, the lights on the Copter will be red. Expert Mode is for the experienced pilot who is looking to perform high-octane stunts and explore the full capabilities of the Helix X4 Stunt! You will find that your Helix responds to your commands to a greater degree, allowing you to recover from stunts with ease.

Flying in Expert Mode allows you to achieve the maximum amount of control possible with your Helix X4 Stunt.

How do I perform stunts with my Helix X4 Stunt?

The Helix X4 Stunt has 3 different stunts you are able to perform at the simple touch of a button. On the lower right side of the front of the controller, you will see a large red button and above that, a red switch. These are your stunt controls. The red switch selects which stunt you will be performing, and the large red button activates this stunt.

      The stunts are as follows:

      • Position 1 - Flip

      • Position 2 - Barrel Roll

      • Position 3 - 180° Flip

We always recommend performing stunts in Expert Mode as the Helix will respond to your commands to a greater degree. A stunt isn’t truly complete without a successful return to normal flight, which is made easier when in Expert Mode due to the increased level of control.

Before you start performing stunts, find an area free from any obstruction or breakable objects. The higher up your Helix is when you perform stunts the more space you will have to recover; the unit may lose altitude after a stunt is completed.

To ensure the best chance of successfully completing your stunts, gradually increase the throttle and when you’re ready to perform the maneuver, press and hold the stunt button for a few seconds while maintaining throttle throughout the entire stunt.

While the Helix is designed to perform amazing stunts with relative ease, they are not automatic and do require some practice! We encourage you to experiment with different levels of throttle going in and coming out of the stunts and eventually, you will be a master of the Helix X4 Stunt.
