Wind Flyer - Getting Started

You will need:

  • 1 x Wind Flyer Plane
  • 1 x Charger
  • 2 x AA Premium Alkaline Non-Rechargeable Batteries (not included)
  • 1 x Phillips Screwdriver (not included)

Install the batteries. Open the battery compartment on the side of your charger using a Phillips head screwdriver. Place the 2 AA batteries in the battery compartment, making sure you are putting these in the right way.

Charge your plane. Plug the charger rod into the bottom of the plane, and hold down the charge button on the charger and you will see a solid red light. The plane is now charging. Around 60 – 90 seconds later your plane will be ready to fly.

Check your environment. The Wind Flyer is outdoor only so before flying, make sure your weather conditions are good. For the best flight, fly in calm, low wind conditions warmer than 50 F degrees.

Turn the plane and the controller on. Have fun.

Where can I fly my Wind Flyer?

You Wind Flyer should be flown in a large, wide-open grassy location. The area you are in should have lots of space to fly with no buildings, trees, overhead wires or other things that could get in the way. Fly on mild, sunny days – don’t fly in electrical storms, rain, sleet, snow, strong winds or any other kind of bad weather. Don’t bring it outside if the weather is below 7C/45F.

Indoor flight is only recommended if you’re able to use it in a very large space, such as an empty gymnasium or arena.

Follow these tips and you will be an expert pilot in no time!
